For most microfluidic systems, external systems to actively move liquids are necessary. Depending on the application, different methods to actuate the fluids are available. We differentiate between pumps and pressure controllers. Pumps, such as syringe or peristaltic pumps, generate a constant flow rate, while pressure controllers generate a constant pressure by pressurizing a reservoir, which is connected to the microfluidic device. We have selected a range of instruments so you can choose the best solution for your application.
