Despite that most of the standard microfluidic modules come in standard formats like the microscopy slide or microtiter-plate format, standard storage solutions do not necessary cope with the demand either in respect of clean handling or the special format of the microfluidic devices, that have e.g. a different thickness than their “standard” counterparts or have integrated fluidic interfaces, which also might interfere with conventional solutions. microfluidic ChipShop’s chip storage boxes are specially adapted to the design features of our microfluidic devices. We offer different kinds of boxes for different kinds of chips.

Microscopy Slide Format

For chips in the format of a microscopy slide, we offer three different storage box types. One type of the larger boxes allows you to store between 50 (with interfaces) and 100 (without interfaces) chips with a thickness of 1 – 2 mm.  The other option is for thicker devices of 3 – 4 mm thickness. In this box type you can store between 26 (with interfaces) and 52 (without interfaces) chips. We also created a smaller more handy box, Fluidic 832, for chips with 1 – 2 mm thickness. You can place 10 chips without fluidic interfaces and 5 with fluidic interfaces into each of these boxes.

Fluidic 832 – For Chip Thickness 1.0 – 2.0 mm

For Chip Thickness 1.0 – 2.0 mm

For Chip Thickness 3.0 – 4.0 mm

Extended Size I Platform Format

We also offer boxes for your chips in microfluidic ChipShop’s “extended size I platform format”, namely 16 mm x 95 mm. You can store 10 chip without fluidic interfaces and 5 with fluidic interfaces into each of them.
