To enable you to connect two or more of your microscopy-slide-sized microfluidic chips, we have developed stackable handling frames. You can securely fix up to four chips inside them and connect them via tubes to reflect your application and serve as a proof-of-concept for your individual design. Since they comply with the SBS microtiter plate standard, you can use them with your standard laboratory automation equipment and integrate your microfluidic devices into your normal lab workflow.
Handling Frames for the Spacing of a 1536 Microtiter Plate
These handling frames allow you to use all your standard equipment that can handle devices with the well spacing of a 1536 microtiter plate, for example for pipetting and read out of your microfluidic chips. We offer the frames in different colors to guarantee that you can safely differentiate your different applications. Furthermore, we offer them in two versions: one version is equipped with the standard skirt of a microtiter plate, the second version has a reduced height, but you can still use it with your standard robots. In addition to that, the latter version also allows you to read out the chips in plate readers or inverted optical microscopes with a reduced optical working distance.
Handling Frames for the Spacing of a 384 Microtiter Plate
These handling frames place microfluidic devices in the format of a microscopy slide on the positions of the wells of a 384 well microtiter plate and enable you to use standard robots and readers for 384 well microtiter plates.
Handling Frames for the Spacing of a 96 Microtiter Plate
These handling frames place microfluidic devices in the format of a microscopy slide on the positions of the wells of a 96 well microtiter plate and enable you to use standard robots and readers for the 96 well microtiter plates.
Handling Frames for Self-Sealing and Releaseable Chips
Our handling frame for self-sealing and releasable chips allows you to insert a bottom plate, e.g. a microscopy glass slide, and a slide-format microfluidic chip. When you close the frame, a constant pressure ensures a tight sealing between the microfluidic chip liquid tight and the bottom plate.
