Description
The ChipGenie® edition P features a click-in holding frame, in order to operate standard microscopy slide format microfluidic chips. The instrument is equipped with a uniform linearly moving magnet (speed of 4 mm/s), as well as a heating element (adjustable between room temperature and 60°C) both controlled independently by switches. These sample preparation units are located below the chip, which serves as the reaction chamber of the system.
This device includes a LED signal that indicates the current operating status, as well as an LCD screen to display the set temperature and current temperature. The arrangement of the switches provides a comfortable handling for pipetting in manual use.
When starting an analysis using ChipGenie® edition P, the microfluidic chip is inserted into the holding frame. The liquid supply is implemented via the chip interface enabling a manual (pipette) or semiautomated (pump-system) operation.
The ChipGenie® edition P can be operated with a variety of microfluidic rhombic chamber chips with lengthwise chamber orientation (interfaces at the short side of the chip).
