These PCR chamber chips with splitter function are particularly well-suited for applications in which one microfluidic stream needs to be divided into several fractions for downstream applications.
In Fluidic 683, the input is divided into ten separate 10 µl reaction chambers. Each reaction chamber is succeeded by a chamber containing an enclosed air volume, which serves to buffer volume expansion/contraction during thermocycling. Because this air volume is sealed, there is no reagent loss due to evaporation.
Furthermore, Fluidic 683 features microfluidic ChipShop's unique bubble-trapping rim design, specifically developed to maintain the detection area of each chamber free from air bubbles for undisturbed fluorescent readouts. This feature makes the chip particularly suitable for use in PCR experiments, during which small air bubbles can form within the chambers of a microfluidic chip.
The loading pressure is designed for 250 mBar.
